Bismillahi Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem
This write up is intended to clear our minds on what Allah(God) is and what He is not the explanation is based on Surat’l Ikhlas and backed by verses from the Bible and my logic. Please share with others.
Quran 112:
In the Name of Allah(God) the most Beneficent most Merciful
1.      “Say He is Allah(God) the One”
Deut 6:4, Mark 12:29 this is the basis of monotheism that Allah (God) is one and only He alone should we worship (Exodus 20:3-4).
2.      “Allah(God) the Self Subsisting(independent of all that exists and upon whom all depends)”
Mathew 26:39 it is natural for one to ask for help from one who has more ability, when we are in need we seek from the One who has what we need but it would be unwise if we sought help from anyone who cannot aid us the illustration in the bible passage above shows the limits of Jesus’ (a.s) powers so he seeks for help from the Highest authority.
3.      He begets not, nor is He begotten”
Allah(God) Almighty is far exalted above the concept of giving birth to children or being born Himself as this would mean He would have a mother and father (if He was born) and a wife (if He is to give birth) which would logically negate His Oneness and Independence as a child would have need of his/her mother and a man his wife. From biblical sources it is noted that different individuals were called ‘sons’ of God and this is based on the criteria “whosoever doeth righteous works is born of God” and in Mark 2:35 Christ (a.s) said “whosoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother”
4.      “and there is none like unto Him”
If there is a tree in front of your house and it bears a fruit (say apple or mango) you go to a different place and you see the same tree bearing the same fruit you will definitely call it apple or mango as the case may be, thus if there was any semblance in being, power authority or any other attribute of Allah(God) then that being would also deserve to be worshipped Glory be to Him He is far above having equals, partners, children or anyone like Him. Christ (a.s) never claimed to be Allah(God) Al-Qur'an 5:72, John 14:28, John 10:29, Mathew 12:28, Luke 11:20, John 5:30, Acts 2:21-22, John 5:30, Mathew 19:16-17.
The way all the prophets worshipped should be noted Genesis 17:3; Numbers 20:6
Joshua 5:14; Mathew 26:39 are a few examples compare this with how you worship and see if you are doing the right thing. Please ask about Islam [submission to the will of Almighty Allah(God)] and follow the Right path to Salvation (Isaiah 43:11-13). Anything misleading in this write-up is due to my weakness and anything enlightening is a mercy from Allah(God).
